About

About LowestBin

An independent site that compares PC part prices every day, so you can see the lowest price in one place.

What LowestBin does

LowestBin checks the prices of popular PC parts at major US retailers every day and puts them side by side: memory, SSDs, graphic cards, CPUs, motherboards and PC cases. For each part you can see the cheapest new, in-stock listing at every store, the full list of listings, the same product's price at different stores, and how the lowest price has moved over time.

Next to the prices are plain-English buying guides and animated "How it works" explainers, so you can work out what to buy as well as where it's cheapest.

How prices are collected

  • Stores: Newegg, Best Buy, Micro Center, B&H Photo and, for memory and SSDs, Silicon Power's own store. Amazon is linked from every price board so you can check its current price there; its prices aren't listed on LowestBin.
  • What's included: new, in-stock products sold by the store itself. Marketplace sellers, open-box, refurbished and used items, and prebuilt PCs are left out.
  • How often: prices are refreshed once a day, and each page shows when it was last updated. Prices and stock change all the time, so always check the store before buying.
  • Ranking: listings are sorted by price, lowest first. No store or brand pays to be placed higher.
  • Benchmarks: performance data comes from Tom's Hardware's GPU and CPU benchmark hierarchies, credited on each page.

How the site is funded

LowestBin is free to use and has no ads. Some links to stores are affiliate links, which means LowestBin may earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. It never affects which prices are shown or how they're ranked. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
